Thai Airways International Plc (THAI) is penetrating the premium customer market with the launch of a new airport transfer service. THAI signed a memorandum of understanding with Black Tie Service Co, a one-stop lifestyle service for companies. Under the agreement, passengers on all airlines can ride to airports in a range of limousines or vans from Black Tie Service. Pariya Chulkaratana, vice-president of e-commerce and ancillary marketing for THAI, said the airport transfer service will help generate more income for the airline starting from next year. To ensure safety, Black Tie Service requires its drivers have criminal background checks and all its cars are covered by first-class insurance.
